Suzan Samancı’s work set for international expansion

Eulama Literary Agency will represent Suzan Samancı internationally, expanding the global reach of her acclaimed literary work.

Eulama Literary Agency has announced that it will handle the international literary rights of Suzan Samancı, a prominent figure in contemporary Kurdish literature.

Samancı is the author of around a dozen novels as well as numerous short stories. Her work, which often explores themes such as exile, memory, violence and identity, has gained increasing attention beyond Turkey, with several titles already translated into multiple languages.

Among her most notable works is Koca Karınlı Kent (The Big-Bellied City), which reflects her distinctive narrative style—marked by a poetic tone and strong political awareness. Critics have increasingly situated her writing within broader global discussions on postcolonial and politically engaged literature.

Eulama, founded in 1962 by Harald Kahnemann and Karin von Prellwitz, said it plans to introduce Samancı’s work to a wider international audience in the coming months, strengthening her presence in global publishing markets.
