Iran has unleashed a series of retaliatory missile and drone strikes across the Middle East in response to a major joint military offensive launched by the United States and Israel against strategic targets inside Iran. The spiral of violence has drawn in multiple Arab states hosting US military assets, heightened regional tensions.
Qatar
Iran launched missiles targeting US military facilities in Qatar, part of its broader retaliation for the coordinated strikes on Iranian territory by US and Israeli forces.
United Arab Emirates
Iranian forces struck multiple sites in the UAE, including near air bases hosting US assets and elsewhere across the country, in response to the US–Israeli operation on Iranian strategic and leadership targets.
Bahrain
Retaliatory attacks by Iran included strikes directed at facilities in Bahrain where the US Fifth Fleet is based, after the initial joint assault by US and Israeli forces on Iranian targets.
Kuwait
Iranian missiles and drones reached Kuwait, hitting sites including military installations that host coalition forces, as part of Tehran’s declaration that US and allied military presence across the region are legitimate targets.
Jordan
Among the countries struck, Iran’s retaliation extended to locations in Jordan that host Western military forces, further broadening the geographic scope of the conflict following the offensive against Iran.
Saudi Arabia
Although not a primary host of US bases, Saudi Arabia reported explosions and condemned the Iranian strikes on Gulf nations as regional tensions intensified in the wake of the US–Israeli attacks.
Iraq
Iranian forces also targeted sites in Iraq where US personnel are stationed, continuing a pattern of retaliation after the American and Israeli military operation inside Iran.
